Who we are

VitalDash is run by Gaston, a private individual based in Belgium. We are not a registered company. You can reach us via the contact form at /contact.html.

What data we collect

None. Seriously. VitalDash runs entirely in your browser. We do not have a server that stores your information. We do not track you. We do not have an account system.

The only data that exists is what your browser saves locally on your own device through localStorage:

• Theme preference (light or dark)
• Unit preference (metric or imperial)
• Cookie consent choice
• Saved profiles you create
• Weight log entries you make

This data never leaves your device. We cannot see it. Clearing your browser storage deletes it permanently.

See our Cookie Policy for details. In short: we use only essential localStorage entries for the features above. No tracking cookies, no analytics until you consent.

Third-party services

The site loads some resources from external CDNs to function:

• Tailwind CSS (cdn.tailwindcss.com), styling library
• Chart.js (cdnjs.cloudflare.com), chart rendering
• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com), the Inter typeface
• Unsplash images (images.unsplash.com), product photos in the recommendations section

When your browser loads these, the providers see standard request data: your IP address, browser type, and the time of the request. We have no control over their data practices. Review their privacy policies if needed.

When you click an Amazon affiliate link, you are sent to amazon.com. Amazon's privacy policy applies from that moment.

If we add Google AdSense, this section will be updated and the cookie banner will offer a real choice.

Your rights under GDPR

As an EU resident, you have rights including:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Rectify incorrect data
• Erase your data
• Restrict processing
• Portability of your data
• Object to processing

Since we don't store your data on our servers, most of these are exercised directly through your browser.

To delete all VitalDash data, open your browser's developer tools (F12), go to Application > Storage > Local Storage, find "vitaldash.io" and delete everything. Or clear cookies and site data for this domain through your browser settings.

If you have questions or believe we've handled something wrongly, contact us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (autoriteprotectiondonnees.be).

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16. Health and weight calculations for minors should involve a parent, guardian, or healthcare provider. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we handle data, the date at the top updates and the cookie banner re-prompts where appropriate.
